God has redeemed us and set us apart to be a Manna Community (M.C.), just like the people of Israel in the book of Exodus.

As a M.C., we are to be distinct from others. Because of our love and trust in God, we follow principles established by God Himself.

Here are a couple of principles a true M.C. member needs to follow:

  1. Rely on God and seek His desires (Exodus 16:3-5). God’s desires for us are better than our own. Still, many times we involve God only when we need Him. We must remember that He is the daily source of survival. His agenda is to give life. A mature believer puts God’s agenda ahead of their own every day. Are you pursuing God’s will or your own?
  2. Feed on the Bread from heaven. This is the secret to growth. Make a routine of it like Job and even Jesus did (Job 1:4-5; Luke 5:16). Those who cherish temporal food from below on their journey (Numbers 11:5,6) devalue the significance of the real, true food that comes from above, i.e. Manna. Scripture warns us that such an attitude leads to degeneration and destruction. Examine and evaluate what kind of things you are consuming on a daily basis.

Let’s seek the Lord for guidance. Discern what is real food from above. The Bread of Life sustains us, helping us to endure and overcome obstacles on our spiritual journey.

Start the day with God and His Word. Watch how it brings you strength in the desert and guides you to the destination.

Heavenly Father, I admit that I’ve put my preferences above yours. But today, I choose you. I choose to worship you. I choose to feast at your table. I choose to serve you over myself and the gods of this world. I choose to be a part of your church. Thank you for the victorious life through Christ Jesus. Thank you for your Spirit who empowers me to do your perfect will every day.
